On March 28th, the 7th Energy Storage Carnival, hosted by EESA, was grandly held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. At the event, Dai Deming, Chairman of CORNEX, delivered the opening speech, followed by the launch of its fourth-generation high-capacity battery cell designed specifically for energy storage—the 472Ah battery cell. This innovative product redefines the development of the next-generation energy storage through shared value across the industrial chain.


In his opening speech, Chairman Dai Deming delivered a comprehensive review of CORNEX's developmental trajectory. Since its establishment, CORNEX has embarked from ground zero, implementing bold investments and sustaining relentless innovation. Spanning from material R&D to market applications, engineering equipment to advanced manufacturing, and production processes to quality control, CORNEX has consistently challenged conventions and redefined industrial benchmarks, and has successively introduced three generations of energy storage-specific battery products: first-generation 280Ah battery cell, the second-generation 306Ah battery cell, the third-generation 314Ah energy storage battery cell. Through innovation-driven product evolution, CORNEX remains dedicated to achieving unparalleled electrochemical performance.

“Innovation serves as the primary catalyst for sustained advancement in the energy storage sector.” Confronting the soaring production capacity demands for 314Ah batteries and urgent market requirements for technological iteration, CORNEX has strategically partnered with Huaqing Energy Storage Innovations.


By transplanting the materials and production line processes of the Conergy π 314Ah battery cell, the 4th generation 472Ah battery cell inherits the multi-dimensional advantages of the 314Ah battery, including high reliability, stability, safety, consistency, and long cycle life. Its single-cell nominal energy breaks through to 1510.4Wh, a 50% increase over the 314Ah battery cell, with an energy density of 195Wh/kg. Additionally, customers can opt for two advanced technologies: cathode pre-lithium (extending the battery cycle life to 15,000 cycles) and high-temperature optimization (maintaining efficient performance at 35°C). These features make the battery suitable for diverse global applications.

For 1500V platform systems, integrating the 472Ah battery enables a 20-foot standard container to achieve a 6.28MWh solution, expandable up to 6.9MWh. This represents a nearly 40% increase in system energy, a 20% reduction in land use for hundred-megawatt-hour applications, and over 20% lower comprehensive costs, delivering significant economic benefits. Additionally, to accommodate the next-generation high-voltage photovoltaic storage systems, the 20-foot system is designed with technical scalability. Through the optimization and upgrading of core components, it can be flexibly expanded into a flagship version featuring a 2000V platform and a 20-foot single-container capacity of 7.06MWh. This advancement accelerates the realization of the Energy Storage 3.0 era, characterized by “large capacity, high voltage, and ultra-integration.”


The 472Ah battery cell fully leverages existing production capacity and raw material supply chains, providing strong support for rapid large-scale production. It is anticipated to commence global sample distribution on April 25th, achieve full-scale mass production and delivery by June 30th, and establish a production capacity exceeding 80GWh, positioning itself as the fastest-to-market, high-performance, large-capacity battery cell with exceptional cost efficiency.

The exemplary performance of the 472Ah battery cell has garnered industry-wide acclaim. At the launch event, CORNEX signed strategic collaboration agreements with six partners—Goldwind Carbon Neutral, Shandong Electrician Times, WINDEY Energy, ZhongTian Energy Storage, Advanced Energy Storage and Tecloman Energy Storage—establishing comprehensive strategic partnerships for the application of the 472Ah energy storage battery cell across projects. This milestone marked an unprecedented achievement of securing commercial commitments immediately upon the product's official debut.
